Welcome friends, family, and colleagues.
Thank you so much for visiting my page to learn more about why I'm fundraising. As you may or may not know, I am a seventh quarter student in chiropractic school. Being that this is my first mission trip, it represents a huge step for me in my development as an empathetic and knowledgeable doctor. Before I enrolled in chiropractic school I wasn't sure if this was the correct path for me, but now as I'm halfway through the program, I know there's no where else I should or want to be.

On the 27th of March 2020, I will set off on a 5-day chiropractic service trip to Ensenada, Mexico. Over the course of those five days I will spend my time adjusting the wonderful communities in the area alongside students and doctors from around the world.
I'll be traveling with 60 badass chiropractic students and the energy this group, including myself, brings to the table can be felt viscerally. We are a committed and focused group of people dedicated to the service of others, hence the journey to Ensenada to serve those who live there. We'll bus across the border to Mexico from San Diego and meet up with our trip leader Dr. Sukhi Muker, who has organized and lead this humanitarian trip over 90 times. You can read more about the trip and the organization here:

Why chiropractic? Chiropractic is an all-encompassing health profession because it deals with the nervous system. The nervous system controls the entirety of the body's functions, like breathing, heart rate, and digestion. However, it's not just physical, the nervous system also controls how we as humans perceive the world and how we interact with it. When there is an interference in the system that controls the body (the nervous system), messages to and from the brain can be altered which results in decreased efficiency of the body as a whole. The role of chiropractic is to remove those interferences so the person can live to their maximum potential due to uninhibited communication between the motherboard (the brain) and the rest of the body. This restores wholeness to the body because everything is properly acting as one.
In order for me to fulfill my purpose and to participate in this humanitarian trip, I need funds. My goal of $2880 covers all potential expenses, such as flights, food, ground transportation, and lodging. Food and proper hydration are especially important because of the conditions and volume of people we will serve in Ensenada. Below is a further breakdown of where the funds are going, as well as my Venmo and PayPal.
750$ - flights
650$ - chiropractic adjusting table
1000$ - mission trip cost
200$ - food, water, toiletries
280$ - insurance and incidentals
2880$ - total
(-350)$ - outside donations
2530$ - TOTAL

If my story and my why inspires or resonates with you and you feel financially called to support me, I will be forever grateful and I hope I can serve you one day, if I haven't already. You'll be elevating and enhancing my life so much by allowing me the opportunity to go out to a community and a country I've never visited to serve the people who live, work, and breathe there. Your support reciprocally inspires me to serve more people and to commit myself at levels I've never attained before. Thank you so much for reading and supporting me through this transformative journey.
With the sincerest love and appreciation,
Chris
