Chiquitita’s Facial Feminization Fund
My name is Angel Flores (AKA Chiquitita). I am a Drag performer & event producer in Brooklyn New York. I have been holding back on asking this favor for quite some time now, but I need help collecting funds for my Facial Feminization surgery.
I have been on the journey of self discovery since I was 14 years old, not quite understanding what set me apart from all the other boys, & I only found out what made me special 2 years ago, right before my 21st birthday. It’s been 2 years since I’ve begun my journey as a trans femme & I have never felt more in my body than I do now. That being said, I am very open about the one surgery I have been planning on since I started transitioning & that is my FFS (facial feminization surgery). I have shed so many tears, told myself so many horrible & unfortunate things about my appearance & have even avoided leaving the house for long periods of time due to my fear of being looked at as a ‘man’. I’ve battled with depression over my appearance long before I ever realized I was a trans femme & still do. Though there is a new radiance through my own self discovery, I can’t help but wake up most days avoiding that morning glance at the mirror. I carry a lot of hurt & weight over this, & I need it to end so that I can be the best person I can be to those around me.
My surgery will cost 39,484$ USD & will not be covered by insurance. I am asking for a fraction of the cost because I still want to try my very best to collect all I can through my work.
I have tried my very best to collect all of the funds I need to go forth with this surgery all on my own, but unfortunately I am just one person, and nightlife is not as much a reliable source of income as we would like it to be. I was hoping to have this surgery be done & over with by the end of this year but have had to extended it because I am only 1/3 complete with my goal.
The world is in a constant state of crisis & realizing that has also halted me from asking for financial favors. Everyone has a million things on their plate & the last thing I want to do is take take take. I am hoping though, that if I’ve ever impacted you in a positive way in this lifetime, whether that’s through performance, laughter, love or through passing conversation, you can find it in your heart to help a doll out, anything helps.
