Hello! My name is Haley and my dog's name is Chip. When I was 15 in 2020, my nana had sadly passed away, and because of dealing with this, my mother had given me Chip! Chip and I have been everywhere from California to Texas and now Ohio. Everywhere I go, Chip has always gone with me. My absolute favorite memories with Chip have been Yosemite, Corpus Christi, hiking, road trips, and many more!

Unfortunately, Chip has been having some leg issues the past year. This issue started again this week but has completely changed him. He can no longer walk with his back legs and can't control his bladder. I took him to the vets right away, and they have diagnosed Chip with IVDD. For those who aren't familiar with this or Chip's struggle, his back discs have broken, which is leading to them pressing on his spinal cord. As of right now, he does have feeling in his legs! But unfortunately, he still has to follow through with surgery along with the battle after. The surgery is very important because if this isn't done soon, Chip will forever lose the ability to walk and possibly live a shorter life. Chip is barely 6 and has so much more to live and see! I was told by my vet this surgery could cost between $8,000 to $12,000. I have not gotten an exact price because we have not seen a neurologist for him yet, but I plan on getting that done right away since this has just happened today.

I know everyone, especially these days, is going through rough times. A dollar or even a simple share would mean the world to me and Chip. I really appreciate everyone for worrying about Chip and wanting to help in every way. Thank you guys so much. I know God will take over and protect my little baby.
