Chippy's Recovery

Hi everyone,

On Wednesday night my roommate and I brought home a new foster dog. She was a sweet dog, but unfortunately not around cats, which the foster center was not aware of (I assume because we let them know we had 2 cats.) Either way, she ended up getting to my cat Chip, and I had to pry him out of her jaw to get the dog to let go. That left me with some minor wounds on my hands that paramedics were able to help handle. My roommate was able to get Chip to the animal emergency care unit, but he is in critical condition with a punctured lung, broken ribs, and nerve damage in his paw. He's struggling to breathe and they have him on IV fluids and pain meds inside an oxygen cage right now. The vet has said 4-5 days of overnight care as of now, which has taken the price to over $3500, and I still don't know what else is coming right now. Chip is my best friend and first pet of my own, I love him like a child. Being in college I don't have the money for this, and I can only get so much help from my family. Seriously anything helps and would mean so much to me. Please keep my sweet angel baby Bippy in your thoughts and prayers.
