Chip Keene's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Sunday afternoon, Chip Keene was involved in a serious motorcycle accident while racing in Gratz, PA. He was flown from the track to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. He is stable but still in critical condition. The current injuries are a collapsed lung, broken femur, lacerated liver, multiple broken vertebrae, and multiple broken ribs. He has undergone two surgeries so far and the doctors are still evaluating the extent of his other injuries.
Even though it is something that a daredevil's family never wishes to experience, we are grateful that he had his wife Lisa and son Dakota with him at the track when this happened. They are both with Chip and staying at a nearby hotel while he recovers.
For anyone who knows Chip, he tackles any obstacle he faces with optimism, determination, and bravery. While he battles through extensive injuries and rehabilitation, we hope to be able to support him and Lisa financially. Chip may race flat track, but his road to recovery will be uphill. Luckily he knows a thing or two about mountain biking!
The Keene's want to thank everyone who has reached out to provide support and offer prayers. We'll get Chip home as soon as we can but until then, please keep him in your thoughts and consider donating.
