Chinonso was fired for being trans - help her survive

Chinonso is a trans woman living in Abuja, Nigeria, and is very active in her local LGBTQ+ community. In Nigeria, it is illegal to be trans, and trans women have very little legal protection. Last week, Chinonso was fired from her job for transitioning. Her Father has just passed away, and she has very little money to survive on and pay for associated funeral expenses.
Living as a trans person in Nigeria is full of daily perils - just a few days ago, Chinonso was arrested for being trans, beaten and sexually assaulted by police officers. She has suffered a lot of transphobia recently, and needs support to survive whilst she looks for a new job. She needs £500 so she can access gender affirming care in the way of hormones, buy groceries and find a place to live as she is currently living with a friend.
Please donate what you can and share this fundraiser as widely as possible - let's make the world a kinder place for trans women.
