On Dec 17, 2023, Melissa Harley invited members of the community in the Village of Richmond to show their support for Jing, who is the owner of Chin Hon Restaurant. His wife passed away on Dec 8 and the funeral was Dec 16.

Melissa’s idea was to send him a small gift and some flowers. In less than a day, there was an astounding amount of interest to support this family and send them a gift during this hard time. This GoFundMe page is for those who would like to donate in support of Jing and his family after the passing of his wife. On top of the emotional pain, I'm sure we can all appreciate the costs for all the logistics associated with a passing.

After this one-week campaign, the proceeds will first be deducted from the gift/flower costs, and the rest will be passed on directly to our friendly-neighbourhood chef over at Chin Hon.
