Our family of three, including our young son, is asking for support after our home was seriously impacted by extreme weather in Chilliwack.

Following an intense period of heavy rainfall, a landslide occurred in our area that redirected water toward our property. As a result, our basement flooded, causing extensive damage to the lower level of our home and many of our belongings.

While we do have insurance, our coverage has a high deductible and a strict payout limit for this type of event. Unfortunately, this leaves us facing significant out-of-pocket costs for repairs, cleanup, and replacing essential items that were damaged or destroyed. Some major repairs, including safety and stabilization work, are not fully covered.

We are doing everything we can to manage the situation and restore our home so it is safe and functional for our family. However, the financial impact has been overwhelming, especially while caring for our young child and trying to maintain stability during an already stressful time.
