Christmas on Children’s Ward @ Calderdale Royal

Hi, my name is Tamsin and last year our daughter, Florence, spent almost two weeks in the care of the Children’s Ward at Calderdale Royal. She was admitted at only 22 hours old.

Whilst in their care we celebrated Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Years Eve. The staff on the ward made it as special as they could for us as a family. They gave both of our children presents and even brought Santa to meet Florence on Christmas morning. They made such an awful time that much brighter.

We want to be able to give back to those nurses who helped us this year, along with providing presents for the children who will sadly spend this year on the ward too. I remember seeing a collection in November last year and it never ever crossed my mind that we would be a family on the other end of it. Thank you so much for your generosity in helping us pay it forward.
