My name is Freya, and I'll be walking from Bridgwater to Wellington – approximately 20 miles – to raise money for Charlton Farm, part of Children's Hospice South West.

This challenge is especially meaningful to me. Over the past two years, I have undergone two major brain surgeries, so taking on a 20-mile walk certainly won't be easy. However, I am determined to complete it and push myself for a cause that means so much to me.

I chose this charity because I recently lost a very special close friend who was cared for at Charlton Farm. The love, support, and kindness they showed my friend and their family was truly incredible. Walking in their memory is my way of saying thank you while helping ensure other families continue to receive the same compassionate care during the most difficult times.

This will be the furthest I've ever walked, and my dad, who is taking on this challenge alongside me, has never walked this far either! We know it will be tough, but every step will be worth it if it helps make a difference for Charlton Farm and the families they support.
