This is author Richard Paul Evans. Many of you know my personal assistant of 14 years, Diane Glad. This morning her son, Ryan, was killed in an accident. Ryan is one of the most humble, grateful men I've ever known. The Glad family already has extensive bills because of their special needs son Nathan. Let's help the Glad family pay for the funeral arrangement and subsequent expenses to build a new life. I hope it's okay, but because of your generosity, I've raised the goal to $34,000. If we go above that, it will be a huge blessing for this family. The weight on Rachel is going to be very heavy, with Nathan's needs and two other kids. Fortunately, Ryan and Rachel were super frugal and careful. They had no debt outside their constant and massive medical bills. In fact, Ryan never even bought himself clothes. I found out that we were the same size so I would give him all my old clothes. He was always so incredibly grateful for the hand-me-downs and told his mom that he was the best-dressed person in his neighborhood. That's the kind of guy he was. Thank you so much for all you've given. Your amazing generosity has been one bright spot in this difficult time. (I've seen the Glads in tears over your kindness. Bless you.)
