Hello!
My name is Lidia Pinilla and I have been working with native communities in Latin America for over 10 years.
With the generous and loving help of many friends and community, we have helped this indigenous community receive urgent and life-changing medical care, develop agriculture and better their immediate living conditions.
The Kogui are incredible WISE and capable of teaching us so much. However, their culture and lives are constantly being threatened by land seizure, contaminated water and a lack of safe infrastructure when traveling. This is why I NEED your help.
To all the incredible generosity that supporters of Children of the Sun have continuously demonstrated, we thank you infinitely. Your kindness has allowed us to complete the bridge in the remote Kogui community after 2 months of construction. This bridge helps safely connect the Kogui to the natural resources they need to survive. Your support has made a tangible difference in their lives.
I will be traveling to Santa Marta, Colombia on August 13th to inaugurate the bridge, with Spiritual Ceremony lead by the Kogui leaders. I hope to bring with me cultivation tools that the Kogui elders have asked for in order to continue cultivating their food. If our cause resonates with you, we appreciate your donation and support.
