As some of you might know, I was working and living in Khao Lak, Thailand, at the time of the 2004 tsunami. I was one of the fortunate ones that day, in a place where over 5,000 people perished. 
Although I lost my father, his family, friends, and neighbors, I also ached for the people that lost their children. In the aftermath and chaos, those were the memories that stuck with me and are with me to this day. 
I've heard incredible stories, and the story of Sussi and Hans is one of them. To loose your children, and to build up a life after that where you are helping other children to have a good life is just... well, I can't even find words.
Right now, my awesome sister is volunteering at this amazing children's home in Phuket, Thailand, the place that is funded by the Swedish non-profit Happy Child Foundation (started by Sussi and Hans) http://happychild.se/what-we-do 
I would like to help these extraordinary children to be the best they can be! This children's home does not only provide them with a safe and loving place, it also makes sure they have the best possible education.
