A bit about Kids Help Phone:

Kids Help Phone is Canada's only 24/7 e-mental health service offering free, confidential support in English and French to young people. They give youth a safe, trusted space to talk over phone or through text or in self-directed supports in any moment of crisis or need. Since 1989, we have offered kids, teens and young adults a critical lifeline of hope and support through our free services.

My personal story:

Back in middle/high school, I struggled a lot at home for reasons I still struggle to explain - and felt helpless at times, not knowing how to manage my mental and physical well-being while still performing at school and taking action towards my future.

I found out about Kids Help Phone, and they listened to all my thoughts, frustrations with no judgement while creating a safe environment for me to express myself. And for that, I'm so grateful - and that the traits I learned from them led to meeting you guys who are so wonderful ❤️

Why this matters:

I know everyone in the room last night values connecting with others and talking through their problems - let's give back to the little ones growing up an opportunity to learn about how sharing their challenges can help them, value of vulnerability, community, listening to one another for a better future ❤️‍✨
