Help Children & villagers of Tsum Valley, Nepal

Hi, my name is Carolyn, and I'm raising funds on behalf of Nepalaya to purchase school supplies, warm socks, and shoes for forgotten about children in remote Himalayan villages of Nepal. With school only available to them from age 5-10 (and that's if they're not needed at home), opportunities are limited.

Living in such a remote location, the adults are also in need. They have requested rubber gloves for household chores in the brutally cold winter and to pick up dung for fuel!, warm socks, and tea and sugar, which are too expensive for them to afford.

Funds are also needed to transport the supplies to this remote region, which is a 1 1/2 day's drive from Kathmandu, followed by a 2-4 day trek with a guide, mules, porters and maybe even a yak or two!

Bigger picture, it would be wonderful to raise enough money to train an early-years teacher, purchase @Wonderbag heat retention slow cookers for each household in the village and/or @Biogas biodigesters, and to create a micro-business for the local women to help them become more self-sufficient and resilient, particularly as villages such as this are at the forefront of climate change, and yet are the least responsible for creating it.
