Why We’re Raising Money – Imogen’s Story

Imogen is just 8 years old, and in her whole life she has only ever had her hair cut three times. Her very first haircut wasn’t until she was 5, and even then it was only a tiny trim. From the moment her beautiful curly locks grew in, she adored them—and so did we. As she got older, her love for her hair grew too. Every visit to the hairdresser came with firm instructions: only take off the smallest amount possible!

But Imogen has always had an even bigger heart than she has curls. She’s the kind of little girl who feels deeply when others are hurting—always wanting to comfort someone who is upset, always moved by stories of children in need. Her kindness has been a part of her since she was tiny.

So when Imogen told us that she wanted to cut off her hair to help another child, we were overwhelmed with pride. She chose, all on her own, to donate the hair she treasures so that a child going through something incredibly difficult can have a wig made—something that might help them feel a little more like themselves again.

We would be so grateful if you could support Imogen’s charity haircut. Any donation, no matter how small, makes a huge difference. Although we have set a lower target of £150, our overall goal is to raise £700, which is the cost of providing one wig to a child who needs it.
