Children of Debbie Barnes, Eric and Isabelle

Our beautiful Debbie unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 22, 2023. Debbie's positive attitude and love for life blessed everyone that knew her. The loss of a mother and a friend has left a huge void in those that knew her. Debbie served our city fearlessly beginning her career as a police cadet in April of 1994. She advanced her career and went to the Permian Basin Law Enforcement Academy (PBLEA), later becoming a police officer in June of 1997. During her tenure, Debbie worked in several divisions within the department until she retired in February 2017. Most recently, she was a realtor with Keller Williams, still serving the Midland community. Throughout her career(s), she always thought of others and put their needs first.

Her greatest joys in life were her two precious children Eric and Isabelle.

Debbie was a wonderful mom and always made time to make lasting memories with Eric and Isabelle. Debbie supported her children in all their endeavors and was always present for her children and their friends. Her children are amazing, kind and hard-working. Like their mother, they are conscientious, caring and driven individuals. Eric will continue his college education as a Sophomore and is enrolled in ROTC. Isabelle attends Midland Christian and will be a Senior in high school. Debbie's close friends are establishing this fund to provide a means for those who loved Debbie and would like to contribute to her children with anything they might need during this difficult time.
