Children of accused witches to go to school.
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Emil and a few years back, I visited four of Ghana's six camps for alleged witches.
In the camps lived women who has been expelled from their villages under accusations of witchcraft.
In the camp they can live in a sort of asylum - safe from their accusers. Most of the women are elderly, but some of them fled there with their kids.
In total 68 children are living in the camps of Gushegu, Gnani, Kpatinga, Gbintiri and Nabuli.
I'm trying to raise money to help these children go to school.
The money will go directly to the small and local NGO Outcast Support Project (OSP) led by my friend Banabas Dalabra.
The money will be used to support the Children with:
School Uniforms
Shoes
Books
Pencils and pens.
Any additional money will be used for food for the children and their mothers in the camp.
Since the NGO is small and, in the countryside, they do not have any bank account. Therefore, I am collecting the money and transferring them via a money transfer like Western Union.
Even though 68 children sound like a lot a small amount can go a fare way in Northern Ghana. Hope you’ll support this fundraise with whatever amount you can spare.
Thank you in advance.
