Maria Cabral, Daniela Orlando and I (Veronica Blanco) met long time ago in Argentina while working together, we started a friendship that lasted all these years and stay as strong as the first day. Back in 1994 when we met we never thought that Daniela and I will be both living in USA, happily married and developing our life on a (professional and personal) level in this great country.
However we never forgot our roots and the struggle that many families are having.
Maria stayed in Argentina also developing a successful life and growing a beautiful family.
Maria, Daniela and I decided to start helping this non-for profit association "La casita de los niños" (The children's little house) in the town of Virrey del Pino, Buenos Aires Province.
La casita de los niños is actually fostering 30 to 35 children from the age of 3 months old to 16 years old, the children living there are in a judicial limbo; they cannot be adopted because all of them have parents, their parents are incarcerated or suffering from drug abuse; they are temporarily fostered in this place until their parents can claim them back or the children turn 18 and they will be on their own.
They need basic elements, from socks to towels to bedding to books or access to internet to continue their on-line schooling due to COVID 19.
The target is to provide them with the basic needs to keep them stay safe during the pandemic while keeping them learning on-line. A large portion of the money will be allocated to provide internet for at least 1 year.
Argentina's child poverty soars in 2020 due to the COVID 19 pandemic 58.6% of children are below the poverty line. See link below.

Can you help them out? Any little amount will make a huge difference. The money will be to buy towels, bed sheets, socks and underwear, diapers for the babies, books, notebooks, pencils and the most important thing it will help them to have internet to access on-line learning, since Argentina is on complete lock-down since March of 2020 and schooling is entirely on-line.
Education for them is the only way out of poverty and a slim chance to have a better future.
