90% of Gaza's schools have been destroyed by Israel. Over 17,000 children have been killed, with thousands more missing.
In this context, Al-Tamayuz School aspires to be a symbol of resilience and hope amidst war and destruction. It aims to remain a beacon of knowledge in northern Gaza, instilling in its students the belief that education is a right that cannot be erased, even under fire, and that the future is built despite pain and loss.
Al-Tamayuz is not just a school—it is a sanctuary for Gaza’s children, many of whom have lost their homes, their schools, or their families. It is a place of hope, a voice for life in the midst of destruction. Your support—no matter how small—can make a tangible difference. It can keep teachers in classrooms, give a child a notebook, a warm meal, or a feeling that they are not forgotten. Saving education in Gaza is saving its future—and ours as humanity.
Please dig deep to help keep this school open; by donating to the school we can help them continue to support 1500 children every day, its teachers can be paid, and they can access education and other basic supplies. We do this out of solidarity, on behalf of children and families here in Cardiff, Wales, lucky enough to have safe schools to go, and out of fierce love - a love that says we will not let education - and hope - die.

Al Tamayouz's dedicated teachers work 12 hours a day trying to keep education - and hope - alive. They show incredible resilience in crisis; the school has been bombed and repaired by staff whilst the children continued lessons in a temporary location.
The school is committed to providing safe, flexible, and inclusive education for all children, especially those displaced or affected by school destruction. It aims to empower a generation that is
knowledgeable, resilient, and prepared to face life’s challenges, through a compassionate, values-driven learning environment.
As well as lessons, the school offers children the chance to play and create, accessing much needed support for their mental health.
Al-Tamayuz School continues to operate under extremely challenging conditions. It charges a symbolic tuition fee of only £10 per student per month. The school receives no external funding and relies entirely on these contributions. Most students come from families who lost their income because of the attacks on Gaza, or are orphans who lost their parents to bombings. Many suffer from hunger and live in tents lacking basic needs. Teachers also face hardship, working without regular pay while striving to support their families and maintain the educational lifeline.
