Help the Samburu people Survive.

The children and women of Samburu community desperately need your help. My children and I visited Samburu earlier this year and bonded with this deep cultured and genuinely warm hearted community of people.

Since then a destructive drought, the worst of its kind in 40 years, has had a devastating impact on the Samburu community of Kenya.

Imagine not having water for a day or two to shower in the comfort of your home. These folks have not had water for months to feed their animals to support their livelihood. The condition in which they live is already poor. The drought is causing much more suffering and resulted in over 2.4 million livestock deaths. Without livestocks, the lives of the Samburu, a semi-nomadic people have no income. When there is no income, there is no food. 4.35 million people now face food shortages for the next three months.

Without humanitarian support, tragic outcomes for the Samburu are inevitable. Among the most vulnerable are children and pregnant women. Children are dying. Lactating mothers don't have enough to stay alive, let alone feed their babies.

On behalf of this once vibrant community, I am asking for donations to help ensure their survival. The money will go directly towards Samburu Youth Donation Program to buy food and water.
