Childhood Leukemia (cancer) Support

Friday May 8th 2020, my nephew, Abram Steves of Baldwin City, Ks. was diagnosed with B-Cell ALL a form of blood Cancer (leukemia) and was hospitalized. Abram attends the local Baldwin City Kansas school district and enjoys local sports such as t-ball, flag football and soccer. He is spunky, happy, funny and very smart! His road is long but we know he's strong and his odd are very good. Surgery and treatments will start immediately and he has already had a blood transfusion to help his hemoglobin, with surgery happening in the next day or 2. Abram is expected to start chemo very soon after surgery and the treatments will likely continue for 2-3 years, according to the doctors. The expectation is for him to come home after surgery within 5 days and if course continue to have treatment, appointments, biopsies and other medically necessary procedures. His parents, Zane and Kerri Steves will need a lot of support. They are driving to the hospital daily to switch out who is with him. Zane will be taking some time off work especially in the beginning to help with everything and to be there for Abram and this is their only source of income. Zane and Kerri have 6 children in their home. The costs will start adding up quickly and I would like to help relieve some of the financial stress of having a child with a chronic illness and the medical bills that are already starting to form. Please feel free to share this so they can get as much support as possible. I am the only family they have locally. If we can all come together and financially support them, it's one less thing to worry about! I will be arranging a meal train/food gift card train as well so they can order on the go as needed or just throw dinner in the oven. If you want to  help in some other way reach out to me.
