Child Smile - Theatre and Education in Gaza

This is a fundraiser for Child Smile youth theatre group, to help them continue their life-saving and joy-bringing theatre and education work from a tent in Khan Younis with children displaced by the conflict. They have continued to create theatre productions throughout the war in all of its stages. In the words of the Child Smile founding members:
"Hope never dies. Life isn’t about the number of breaths we take, Life is based on the number of dreams we create and will see come true. We are a group of people whose heart goes out to children, women and youth who have been deprived of their most basic rights. We work with all love and passion to turn pain into joy. We make drama and theater a free space in which children can express themselves and tell their stories that the world has forgotten.
Every child, young man or woman who participated with us became a new member of our large family. Since the day we started in November 2023, we have implemented more than 30 drama and creativity workshops. More than 450 children participated. Not only do these children learn to stand in front of an audience, No .. learn how to tell their stories with courage , How do they find their voices that circumstances tried to hide!
Our achievements: The children shared their true stories in plays that were watched by more than a thousand people. Every performance was full of real emotions that left an unforgettable impact.
Rejecting the harsh reality: The children decided not to give up, and began telling their stories in their own way, and facing this reality with a bigger dream and stronger determination.
New life: Theater has become for children a place where they can express, scream, and laugh, even if for simple moments.
Our message : We exist to tell every child: “You are the dream and you are the hope.” We create a safe space full of color, laughter, and new hope. Hope for us isn’t just a word, it’s life. When we see a child laughing despite everything he has been through, we know that there is still light in which we can hold on.
A Child’s Smile Team is not just a name …It is a promise that even if circumstances are harsh, hope remains. Dreams flourish even in the most difficult places. Share our dream with us... Let's put a smile on our children's faces together!"
