Child Burn Victim Lucas Manning

My nephew and his wife just had a new baby girl on April 1st. They brought her home on the 3rd and 1 day later were back in the hospital again, this time for their 9 year old son Lucas. Lucas got severe burns on his shins, calves, thighs and feet. He was rushed to the hospital and then medevaced to Riley's Children's Hospital in Indianapolis where he's been in the burn unit since April 4th. Lucas has already had infection set in, went through 2 skin grafts and has surgically had the pinky toe & part of the side of his right foot removed. He will have to go through more skin graft surgeries but has to wait a week between each surgery to let the last grafts heal some first. They have a long road to recovery with more surgeries and the therapy afterwards. The parents have not been able to work during this time since they both have to stay down there full time. The hospital has a flu restriction which means the newborn is not allowed in by Lucas so 1 parent has to stay with the baby while the other parent goes to visit their son. To make matters worse, the mother had complications from the delivery of the baby and has needed to visit ER herself and yesterday had another visit to an urgent care for antibiotics for a very bad spider bite that has 1/2 her shin/calf swollen & red. The helicopter ambulance alone is terribly expensive but with everything else Lucas has been going through, and is continuing to go through, on top of the delivery of a new baby, their expenses are growing out of control.

Lucas is a very energetic, helpful boy that loves his family, their pets, and is a really good football player and trophy winning wrestler. Any donation, small or large will be incredibly appreciated as you help Lucas & his family get through this very hard time in their lives.
