Stage 4 cancer changed my life completely!
When I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer in June 2016, it was already metastatic to my backbone. I did not feel anything different, except for severe lower back pain. At the time of diagnosis, my son just finished freshman highschool.
Since then, I have been through hormonal treatment, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy. Because cancer is already metastasized, I will not be able to "cancer-free". The chemotherapy is the only treatment right now that works for me, and it will continue until available chemo medicines exhaust.
Although I tried to work as much and as long as I could, my body did not have enough capacity to continue; so I medically retired in October 2018 to focus on my medical treatments. It was a quite tough decision as a single parent.
My income is very limited; therefore, I ask for YOUR help to cover my medical treatments, housing, food, and other necessary items.
Any amount is sincerely appreciated, and I promise, your hard-working money will not be wasted especially in this difficult time with coronavirus.

2016年6月に乳癌と診断された時には、すでに背骨に転移していました。でもしこり等の違和感はなく、デスクワークにありがちな腰痛に悩まされているぐらい。診断時、息子は高校1年生がちょうど終わったところでした。
ガンが発覚してからホルモン治療、放射線、抗ガン剤と治療してきましたが、すでに転移しているため今後＜ガン無し＞になることはありません。私にとって抗ガン剤が現在できる唯一の、効果の出ている治療法です。そして、抗ガン剤治療は薬の種類が無くなるまで続きます。
そんな状況でもできるだけ多く、できるだけ長く、仕事を続けようと努力しましたが、身体はそれを許してくれず。2018年10月に治療に専念するため早期退職しました。シングルマザーの私にとって、退職はかなりキツイ選択でした。
