Chifundo is a village champion in Lumbadzi, a peri-urban area in Lilongwe, Malawi where she grew up. So many little kids from her neighbourhood look up to her. They call her “Aunty”. They are all aged between 3 and 13. Precious kids!
Every day after school since the last year, the kids flock to aunty Chifundo's house. They come to play with her. They want aunty Chifundo to help with their homework. Or read them a book or tell them a story. They want to watch TV. They ask so many questions. They want to know what aunty Chifundo does at work. These kids look up to aunty Chifundo. They still go to her house in Lumbadzi everyday, even after she moved.
'Uncle Elvis (what the kids call him) asked to marry the village champion and he fell in love with the little kids too! He adores them. And their curiosity!
OUR DREAM WEDDING GIFT IS A GIFT THAT WE CAN PASS ON TO OUR LITTLE FRIENDS . Together as a couple, we would like to create for them a space where they can continue with after school learning. A place full of books and learning aids and basic access to information and technology. We are keen to introduce these little superstars to big dreams and a bigger world. We would like to create 'A Dream Center' for them!
