A New Start for Sassy Sasser

Hi my name is Bridget and I’m fundraising for my dear friend Sassy. Sassy was one of my first friends when I moved to GA in 2016 and we met at a Starbucks in Newnan when she came over to chat with me over her favorite drink, an iced quad shot espresso! Sassy has always been a giver, she’s never forgotten me on my birthday or “Gal”entine’s Day - and it was always a cat themed gift!

Sassy is a Veteran (7 years in the Navy, 3 in the National Guard) and has been living and caregiving for her elderly Mom since her Dad passed in 2015 from Alzheimer’s. As an only child, with no surviving family support or assistance, she worked a full time job and took care of her Mom all by herself.

Sassy’s Mom became suddenly ill on Good Friday and passed of a presumed heart attack that same day. Unfortunately their life insurance payments lapsed during her Dads Alzheimer’s battle as he was not of clear mind. Chieko lived to be 81 and had a full life. Her & her daughter especially enjoyed Netflix movie nights as of late, and enjoyed The Crown most recently. Chieko was even a fragrance model in her younger days!

Expenses we are fundraising for:

-cremation with urn ~$1500-$2000

-moving expenses for Sassy as she can no longer stay in the assisted living where her Mom was living and being cared for in

-storage for a month or two for her Mom’s belongings so she can go through them in time without being rushed
