Chief's Cancer Fight Needs Your Support

Hello, this is Chief's (Charles) mother, Mary. I know he has posted previously about his cancer diagnosis, so some of you are aware. What he has not posted about are the financial struggles that come with cancer.

He has insurance, but doctor visits that are out of network (copays, X-rays, ultrasounds, and other tests and medications) are costly, as well as fuel for traveling to and from, especially when he has to start driving to MD Anderson in Houston from here in Fort Worth.

My son spent 15 years of his life serving as a policeman until he was injured, and he has spent the years after trying to help spread awareness about first responder PTSD. He is great at helping others but not so great at asking for help for himself.

He recently learned his cancer is stage 2 and is also currently battling with his insurance, having to change insurance right in the middle of all this.
