Hey everyone, britney here, I have created a go fund me for my horse chief.
Chief has been dealt a rough couple of hands, he has been in auctions, diagnosed with cancer, had nose bleed issues, has some stiffle and joint issues that we deal with and now we noticed an eye issue. Vet came out looked at his eye recommend we take him to the university of GA for further diagnosis, so we did!
They diagnosed him with immune mediated ketosis, which means he will have this the rest of his life. IMK, is a disorder where the eye is basically attacking itself. He will need to be on medication 2x a day, which 1 tube last about a week @ $58. That comes out to about 2,750 a year. And chief is not very willing to have the eye medication put in his eye.
So, the university has an implant that goes in the eye that is a time release of the medication, which means no fighting to get medication in his eye and we know with the implant that he will be getting the medication at the proper dosage. This implant last a year and cost $1,400.
I am asking for help to raise the money for the implant to save me and him the stress of fighting him to get the cream in his eye and also its half the cost of buying weekly medication.
I hope to reach our goal because if proper medication isn't administered he could lose his eye sight.
Thank you in advance!
