Chief Eric Baumgart was recently diagnosed with testicular cancer in a local emergency room after presenting himself to the ER suffering with severe pain.  After Eric’s initial diagnosis Eric consulted with numerous medical professionals to develop a best course of action treatment plan. The plan included numerous tests and a stay at the Mayo in Rochester to receive his initial surgery.  Due to this unexpected cancer diagnosis both Eric and his wife Cheryl had to take numerous days off work to care for Eric's pre, and post-surgery needs.  We all know or can imagine that fighting cancer is a long and tiring battle and the couple anticipates numerous more trips to the Mayo in the coming months for additional testing and treatments. 

Eric and Cheryl are fortunate to have medical insurance, however, the plan they have has a very large max out of pocket. Also, the costs of lost wages, hotel stays, and travel expenses are not covered by insurance.  They also anticipate that the time that he has had to take off, and the tests and treatments to come will surely exceed both of their accumulated vacation and sick time. 

Eric and Cheryl have a family that includes their four children.  I am asking for donations that will be paid directly to Eric and Cheryl to help them offset the costs associated with their out-of-pocket medical expenses, travel expenses, and lost wages they have endured, and will suffer through in the near future. Eric’s Financial need is immediate, and any donations will help them focus on Erics care. Rather then how they are going to pay for it.  Please help, and any donation will be greatly appreciated.
