Chief Charles Robert Thacker memorial fund

Donation protected
Chief Petty Officer Charles Robert Thacker Jr., 41, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, died on April 13th at the U.S. Naval Hospital Guam, after contracting COVID-19 while stationed aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt.  Thacker’s wife, an active-duty member stationed in San Diego, was flown April 11 to Guam and was by his side when he died.  He left behind two beautiful children.

Everyone who knew “Chief” Robert knew that hanging with him usually ended up in lots of laughter and shenanigans, followed by good bourbon, cigars and food.  Of course he loved a really good bourbon and cigar, he loved Jeeping and the outdoors, he loved his guns and photography, he loved his friends and Ordies but most of all he loved his family. His family meant the world to him - Kaleigh, Charlie, and his beautiful wife Symantha are his everything.

Robert was a true leader and mentor, who loved and dedicated his life to the Navy.  He was more than just a great friend to many.  Most importantly he was an amazing father and husband to his family.

Chief will be incredibly missed by many, and this memorial campaign is dedicated to his children and his legacy.
