Chicky's Departure

Hi there. My beloved father, Walter "Chicky" Blythe, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 12, 2024. His departure has been earth-shattering for all who loved him.

I am severely pained by his passing and am struggling to come to terms with my loss. Chicky was a dedicated veteran, service worker, loving friend, and father. I am currently facing the financial burden of his unexpected passing and the associated funeral expenses as a full-time student. I am reaching out and asking for help in honoring my father's memory and giving him the farewell he deserves.

Funding will cover funeral arrangement costs, his viewing, casket, and transportation.

Arrangements are as follows: Viewing on Friday, January 26, 8-10 AM at Gleason's Funeral Home at 10-25 150th St, Whitestone. Funeral Mass immediately following at St. Fidelis in College Point at 10:30 AM. Burial at Calverton National Cemetary in Wading River.

Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate this heartbreaking grief. We will always remember my father's selflessness, dedication, and bravery, and we will continue to honor his legacy by living our lives with the same values he instilled in us.
