Chickpea found me 5 years ago. She was 2 months old, a malnourished, parasite-ridden foster kitten. From the first day we met, I knew I’d never let her go. Through years of love and care, Chickpea’s health has improved. She is my best friend, my companion through everything. Everyone that has met her has fallen in love with her sweet and communicative personality.

Because of her severe health issues at such a young age, Chickpea still has a number of chronic conditions that will stay with her for life. The most worrying of her conditions are her teeth, which need to be removed as soon as possible. Her immune system is attacking her teeth, breaking them down and severely inflaming her gums. Chickpea’s condition is very painful, her mouth is tender to the touch and she finds it difficult to eat.

Chickpea has had this condition from a very young age, due to her compromised immune system, and recently it has only gotten worse. The only solution is to remove her teeth. She needs to get the surgery as soon as possible, and once she does, she will be able to enjoy the rest of her life without the daily pain that she is going through.

Including the consultation, blood-work, and surgery, the cost of helping my baby is $3900, which is much more than I can afford on my own. I am asking you for your help —this isn’t easy to do for me but I cannot bear to let Chickpea keep suffering. Anything you can give us, no matter how big or small, is greatly appreciated.
