Chickenman STRONG! Help Greg Lindsay recover from stroke
Donation protected
Greg Lindsay also known as "Chickenman" is an amazing person who is well known in the community for his love and passion for softball and making people smile or laugh. Greg loves to spend time with his family and grand kids and also loves playing in the local softball leagues. He has impacted so many lives thru his love for the game and has inspired those young and old to keep playing and to never give up.
On August 2nd, 2024, Greg sustained a life threatening brain stem stroke along with several smaller strokes. He spent a week in ICU fighting for his life and miraculously survived but was left with a lot of damage from the strokes. He spent 22 days in the hospital and was able to transfer to inpatient rehab at Mary Free Bed on August 24th.
Since he began therapy at Mary Free Bed he has made huge improvements in his recovery and is now walking with two assist in the halls. Eating with assistance and working on recovering his speech. He has a long recovery ahead of him and will need to go to a sub acute rehab and possibly other rehabs after and will need outpatient rehab once he is able to go home. He is a fighter though and never gives up or says no to therapy. He wants to recover fully and get back to doing what he loves. Playing ball and spending time with his family.
This money will help with the medical costs and continued therapy Greg needs for a full recovery. Also the medications and future treatments he may need to prevent another stroke and heal from the current one.
