Chick Smaldino, Propane Explosion Fire

On Father's day 6/20/2021, Chick Smaldino was asleep on his couch when he was awakened to see a fire. He ran out of his home to get the hose, when the home exploded, killing his wife Alice and their two rescue dogs. Chick suffered minor burns and was hospitalized for a couple days due to smoke inhalation. The fire resulted in a devastating loss of everything for Chick. If he hadn't run out of the house when he did, he would not be alive today.

Many of you know Chick from his musician days in WNY with The Quarter Horse Band. They were one of the most popular country rock bands in this area. An Angola resident his entire life, Chick has spent the last several years as a musician in the Las Vegas area with his popular band UpDog. As a veteran, Chick and his wife Alice did extensive work for many years on the charity "One Hero At A Time" , helping one veteran at a time in Nevada.

All of this money, 100%, will be donated to Chick to help him with housing, clothing and essentials to get back on his feet.
