Hi! We are a group of students and parents from Kenwood Academy High School. We love our neighborhood and we want to build little free libraries for the Hyde Park area. These are small boxes that people can contribute to or take books for free. We want to bring positivity to our neighborhood as well as begin to improve our cities literacy rates (In 2014, only 53% of citizens were literate). Our main goal is to provide our beloved community with the simple ability to take and leave books for each other. We plan on expanding to other areas of Chicago but we will need your help! With your donation we will be ordering, building, decorating, and placing these boxes around our neighborhood. We thank you so much for taking the time to read and donate to our cause for our city.
