A devastating flash flood in the Bhote Koshi River has caused severe loss of life and property across Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, Chitwan, Nawalparasi and surrounding areas of Nepal. Families have lost loved ones, homes, livestock, and their means of livelihood. Many survivors urgently need food, shelter, clothing, medical assistance, and long-term support.

This fundraiser is solely dedicated to supporting people affected by the devastating Bhote Koshi flood in Nepal.

We are members of the Nepali community in the Chicagoland area, Illinois, USA. As Nepalis living abroad, we remain deeply connected to our homeland and are working together with local Nepali community organizations, business owners, and social leaders to support families affected by this disaster.

This is a community-led humanitarian effort to support flood victims in Nepal through the Government of Nepal’s official disaster-relief system.

All net proceeds raised through this GoFundMe campaign will first be deposited into a designated U.S. bank account established for this relief campaign. The collected amount, after applicable GoFundMe payment-processing fees, will then be transferred to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Government of Nepal.

The funds will support official emergency relief, rescue, rehabilitation, and recovery efforts for flood-affected communities in Nepal. None of the organizers will use the donations for personal expenses or personal benefit.

For complete transparency, we will publicly share the final amount collected, applicable fees, bank-transfer records, and the official receipt confirming that the funds were delivered to the Government of Nepal’s Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund.

We are a community-based Nepali nonprofit organization raising funds to support our friends, families, and fellow community members affected by the recent devastating floods in Nepal and Tibet and surrounding affected areas.
