As Jessica & her family adjust to life with this diagnosis, the medical bills continue to pile up. This has put them between a rock & a hard place. Jessica's husband, Justin has been working as many overtime shifts as he can just to stay afloat. Jessica continues to work full time even though the syrinx on her spinal cord is slowly causing paralysis. In a few months, Jessica will undergo brain surgery to remove part of her skull and fuse her spine together. This will restore the flow of spinal fluid and slow down the progression of the disease. She will be in the ICU for up to a week then in the hospital another few days until she can go home. This procedure will be thousands of dollars in copayments.
