Chiari Malformation surgery and recovery

Miranda Graf had a rough 2022, when she was diagnosed with Multiple Scleroisis. Despite that she has carried on her work has permancy planning social working, finding homes for youth in need, while trying to find the right cocktail and diet to support her new life. 2023 has also started with a bang as her medical team has indicated she suffers from a Chiari Malformation, meaning part of her brain at the back of the skull bulges through a normal opening in the skull where its joins the spinal canal. This puts pressure on parts of the brain and spinal cord. Her medical team has decided that she will have to have surgery, removing a portion of the skull to decompress the overlying of bones. She is scheduled for surgery in July. Given her previous health concerns and the many appointments she had prior to the surgery, she has exhaused her medical leave and will have to go on unpaid leave.
