In December of 2015, mom was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer. In the nearing three years of her diagnosis, treatment and hospitalizations, she managed to work and care for herself, my brother and I. 

Now, it's our turn to give back. She's done her fight with a peace and ease that she's longed for. Mom's been a fighter since the get go, strong, independent, amazing and incredible for everything she's braved. 

In her spirit, in her honor, we're raising funds to hold a proper service so that all that loved her can pay their respects, say good bye and cover the costs of cremation and subsequent transport of her ashes back home to Puerto Rico where they rightfully belong. 

All funds up to the goal will be used to cover the fees associated with the funeral service and cremation, with any remaining funds allotted to the family to manage expenses not otherwise foreseen and cope with the loss of income.
