Many of you have the privilege of knowing Cheyenne Talley, one of my dearest and closest friends. For those of you who do not know her or her story, Cheyenne has a rare condition called Chiari Malformation Type 1. This condition is when the brain tissue extends into the spinal canal due to the brain being too big for the skull. In most Chiari patents, the brain extends 3-5 millimeters down the spinal cord. Cheyenne’s Chiari extends 15 millimeters.

This condition results in constant migraines, neck pain, and dizziness; and it prohibits spinal fluid from circulating through the rest of her body. Because of the severity of her condition, if Cheyenne does not get Chiari malformation surgery she will eventually go blind. 

On March 9, 2021, Cheyenne will undergo the surgery which will remove parts of her skull to release the constant pressure on her brain. This surgery has a six-month recovery period and will be a huge financial burden on Cheyenne and her family.  There will be a large medical bill, as well as many other expenses, including the cost of taking time off work to recover. 

I am reaching out to you to ask for your support for Cheyenne during this time.   All the funds raised through this effort will go toward helping Cheyenne cover her medical and related expenses.
