Okay folks, strap in!

About two years ago, I got an itty bitty chip in the tooth next to my right canine. I thought to myself— Welp. Can’t do much about that!

I had famously just stepped foot in an industry with extremely limited access to healthcare, let alone dental care, so I virtually had no other choice but to shrug it off and hope nothing too bad happened as a result!

Spoiler Alert: Something Too Bad Happened.

Last Friday, I felt something go horribly wrong in that tooth. I will spare you the gross details, but as a result half of my tooth simply ✨broke off✨, revealing a serious dental emergency underneath.

I’ve already had two medical procedures in the past two days, and have another two scheduled in the next week… and they broke the news that I also need to remove all my wisdom teeth urgently. I am beyond grateful to now have dental insurance (shoutout Seattle Theatre Groups!) but even with that coverage it’s totaling around $4,000 to address these dental shenanigans. As we are entering the slow season of live music, it’s an anxiety inducing bill to say the least. I am navigating financial paths to pay all this off, and I have chosen to open this GoFundMe up as one of those paths. It’s definitely a heavy choice for me to ask for financial support from you guys, but desperate tooth times call for desperate tooth measures! Literally anything helps, and I am so thankful if you even only made it to the bottom of this short story!
