Please Help Cheyanne Honor Joshua’s Life & Find Stability After His Passing
With heavy hearts, we share the devastating news of the passing of Joshua Hower, age 32, who went to be with the Lord on April 25, 2025. Joshua passed away peacefully in his sleep, with his beloved wife, Cheyanne, by his side—just as she had been through every step of his incredible journey.
Born at Fort Polk, Louisiana, and medevac to Fort Sam Houston, Texas, at only 10 days old, Joshua entered this world already fighting. Diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, he faced unimaginable challenges from the very beginning. Despite a life filled with medical battles and constant pain, Joshua's strength, faith, and kindness were unshakable. He grew up in Hudsonville, Michigan, where he became known for his gentle soul, quiet courage, and unwavering love for those around him.
Joshua and Cheyanne's love was a true testament to devotion and resilience. Rarely apart, Cheyanne spent countless nights at the hospital, sleeping on whatever was available just to stay near him. They walked every hard road hand in hand, their bond unbreakable, their love inspiring, and most importantly, his love for God.
Because of his condition, Joshua never qualified for life insurance. He was on disability, and every dollar they had was used to survive. Now, with Joshua’s passing, Cheyanne is left not only grieving her soulmate but also facing immediate financial hardship. We are not asking to fund a visitation service or burial or a headstone or a coffin, or a grave, but just a simple funeral service called a Celebration Of Life Service.
We are asking for help to cover:
------------------------------------
• A simple cremation with a simple Urn from Amazon.
• A celebration of life service at his church
• Two more months’ rent to give Cheyanne time to grieve and move.
• Basic moving expenses, she is planning to move to Ionia to live with her mother and sister, almost an hour away, and work to find a bigger apartment.
Joshua's passing has left a huge hole in our lives. But we take comfort in knowing he is now resting in the arms of Jesus Christ, finally free from pain.
If you feel moved to give, any amount—big or small—would mean the world to Cheyanne and our family. And if you’re able or unable to give, we ask for your prayers, your love, and your help in sharing this story.
Thank you for helping us honor the life of a beautiful soul and support the woman who stood faithfully beside him every step of the way.
With love and gratitude,
