My name is Terry Torro, I’m an independent filmmaker that focuses on Black LGBTQ love, relationships and mental health. I wrote this bomb-ass short film titled 'Chewed'.

LOGLINE

An undercover Vampire hunter is conflicted when his next target hits close to home.

SYNOPSIS

'CHEWED' revolves around Simon and Greg, former lovers whose paths intertwine once again after Greg's sudden disappearance and subsequent ghosting of everyone in his life. Simon, an ex-military personnel aligned with a covert vampire-hunting organization, is tasked with eliminating or rehabilitating victims of vampire abuse. As suspicions arise regarding Greg's potential transformation during his absence, Simon finds himself torn between his lingering affection for his ex-partner and the duty to exterminate him. With conflicting emotions and high stakes, our narrative delves into the moral complexities and personal sacrifices that Simon must confront

WHY?

This film delves into the complex themes of self-discovery, love, and the struggle against inner darkness. As a Black Queer filmmaker, I am passionate about breaking barriers and creating inclusive storytelling in all genres. This gripping tale follows the journey of a character deeply affected when a loved one becomes consumed by their personal demons. Through a captivating blend of sci-fi action and vampire mythology, we explore the lengths we are willing to go to save those we cherish and confront the question of redemption.
