Chet Dreschel is the music teacher at Lee County Elementary School. He has been teaching music to children of all ages for over 20 years. Chet has been the Music Director at Covenant Presbyterian Church for over 21 years. He is very loved by all who meet him. Chet suffered a massive stroke on Friday, February 10, 2017 as he was getting ready for work. He underwent brain surgery immediately and continues to be hospitalized. Chet continues to improve, however, he will require extensive rehabilitation in the coming weeks and months. Chet’s son, John, has been right by his side as much as possible. While John is young and still in college which is located about three hours away, he stays with Chet as much as possible. This page is to raise funds to help with Chet’s everyday expenses, as well as, the expenses he will have as he is still hospitalized and continues to incur medical bills. He also continues to incur regular bills for his home, utilities, and etc. Hopefully, this page will, in some small way, be able to help provide for Chet as he has provided for so many over the years and never asks for anything in return. As he continues to make progress, many people have shown an outpouring of love for Chet. This is just another small way we can show Chet how much we care for him, support him during his time of recovery, and how much we appreciate everything he has done for our children.
This page is being monitored by Chet’s legally appointed conservator and Chet’s family. All donations will be placed in a bank account for Chet to be used as seen fit by his conservator. Please help Chet and John by offering a gift no matter how large or small.
