Last season Chesterfield fans were kind enough to fund sports science equipment for the team. Results and performances since that point have certainly shown the benefits of the sweet science of sport!

That request generated £15000 which was a tremendous effort by the Spireite family.

This season another unbudgeted need has emerged, the need to replace the frost-covers for the Technique Stadium surface. The frost-covers used since the stadium opened were the ones from Saltergate which, as well as being a little too small for the current pitch, are well past their best. They were also paid for by supporter fund-raising by the ground-staff at our former home.

With the team doing so well it would be disappointing if matches were lost to cold weather and our schedule was adversely affected.

All money pledged will go towards the covers and any excess will be used around the stadium.
