As many of you have seen, the town of Lāhainā has been devastated by the worst wildfire in modern history. My best friend, Zoe and her Ohana - Peyton, Bishop (4yo), and Vivienne (20mo) escaped their home in Wahikuli, on Kaniau St, with just the clothes on their back after seeing the shifting plume of black smoke move towards their neighborhood. [Their son Christian (20yo), was thankfully safe on the Big Island of Hawai’i visiting with family].

Zoe was born and raised in Lāhainā and has called Maui home for the last 30 years, attending King Kamehameha III School (also lost in the fire) through High School at Lahainaluna (C/O 2011). Her sweet growing family has lost their home, their vehicle, and everything that they own and is grieving for the whole of Lāhainā, a community unlike anywhere else.

While Zoe and her family are safe in Haʻikū staying with friends we have organized this fundraiser to help them begin to rebuild their lives. If you are able to donate, or even just share, it is greatly appreciated, as they work to figure out next steps. The funds will be deposited directly to Zoe.
