Help Chess Prodigy Edgar Ntende Compete in Chicago and Fund His Dream
My name is Inga Frick, and I’m reaching out to support my brilliant young friend, Edgar Ntende—a talented chess player and recent computer science graduate from Maharishi International University in Fairfield, Iowa.
Originally from Uganda, Edgar was a national chess sensation in his youth (read more here). He’s now focused on using his exceptional chess skills to support the launch of a promising startup: a restaurant app he’s developed with the hope of making a meaningful impact.
Edgar has the opportunity to compete in the 34th Annual Chicago Open, a major national chess tournament that starts TOMORROW—but he doesn’t have the funds to get there.
We’re trying to raise $1,100 to cover the basics:
Tournament Entry Fee: $210
Lodging (4 nights): $440
Food (4 days): $200
Fuel/Travel: $150
Buffer for expenses: $100
Every dollar helps, and even a small contribution can get Edgar closer to the board in Chicago—and closer to funding his entrepreneurial dream.
Edgar is not only brilliant—he’s kind, generous, and deeply committed to giving back. Investing in his journey is investing in someone whose success will ripple outward.
Please donate if you can, and share this campaign with anyone who believes in lifting up a wonderful young man.
Thank you so much!
