Che's Fund

EDIT. He is scheduled for surgery on the 21st. At that time he will receive first shot.

Over the years, most of my FB friends have heard me reference Che, the Mangy Mexican Mutt. For those unfamiliar with him, he was a persistent street dog who adopted me on the Isla de la Piedra in Mexico 11 years ago. At the time, he had a broken tail, mange and tapeworms hence his nickname. Today 11 years later, he is a healthy senior and the love of my life. However, he also has a very rare form of melanoma in the form of a tumor on his bottom. It is removable and treatable; the expectation is that he will live out his normal lifespan after surgery with treatment. I have already exhausted my emergency dog savings just on the tests and consultations. I am getting help from a grant, but it won't cover all of it.
So I am reaching out to my friends to ask for help in saving my dog. I want to be very clear that if I were not 100 % sure that this will save his life, I wouldn't be asking. I refuse to put him through anything that will keep him alive yet miserable. The quality of his life has been factored into my decision to save him.

Thank you in advance to any of you that can help. I appreciate it more than words can convey.
