I am coming to you to ask for your help. I have MS and have been accepted into treatment for HSCT which is the ONLY known cure and I am going to Russia on Feb. 19, 2015! Super exciting but very expensive...$40,000 to be exact! My life went from normal to getting around on a scooter! My 4 children, ages 5, 8, 13 and 20 sit and watch the decline of their mother helplessly and in constant fear of me falling. They help me instead of me helping them. Imagine how hard it is to not be able to hold or walk with your child, tickle and play with your kids, play soccer with them, take them to the store or a friends house, help them get dressed, change a diaper, tie their shoes, protect them while crossing a street, put a pony tail in your little girls hair, make them something to eat…it is pathetic and my kids suffer daily.
I have never believed or accepted in 13 years there was no cure (like western medicine tells MS patients) for this dreaded progressive curse and with the help of my friend and neighbor, I have found it!!! She saw the special on WFAA about 6 ladies from around the world with MS who bravely went to Russia to undergo HSCT and have been cured! We knew I had to research this treatment and if it was what they claimed, a cure, get me there!
It took a lot of reading and digging to find out this treatment IS the only cure for MS! After all the research was done, my quest was clear…I’m going to beat this dreaded disease with HSCT in Russia. I submitted my records and after waiting for what seemed like forever we got the news I was accepted for treatment but on a waiting list for 2015 (normal scheduling would’ve had me there in 2018!). Then on Thanksgiving morning I received an email asking if I could come On February 24, 2015!! God is so good!!! After talking with my husband he said I could tell them yes and we would do everything we could to collect the necessary funds. We are doing our best and that led me to you.
Please help me be the mother, wife, daughter, sister, Aunt and good neighbor God intended for me to be.
